Meeting with Moïra, founder of Okamiiro
Okamiiro was founded by Moïra, an animal lover who combined her love of animals with her talent for craftsmanship. Having grown up in an environment where every animal was considered a member of the family, Moïra wanted to create accessories that reflected this same affection and care. She launched Okamiiro to offer pet owners products that are not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing.
Philosophy and inspiration
Okamiiro’s mission is to transcend the traditional notion of pet accessories. With us, every creation is a work of art, fusing art with traditional craftsmanship to produce unique, personalized pieces. Our accessories are designed to celebrate the special bond that every owner shares with their pet. Our inspirations are diverse and varied, capturing the essence of nature, the elements, landscapes and even Japanese culture, reflecting the richness and diversity of our world.

Our lead times reflect our commitment to quality, as each item is created to order, with no pre-existing stock, to precisely meet our customers’ expectations.

We chose Biothane as our material of choice for its many advantages. This revolutionary material, similar to leather in aesthetics but surpassing it in durability, water resistance and ease of care, is perfect for accessories designed for active, adventurous pets. PVC as an alternative to Biothane®
As an alternative to Biothane, PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, has been chosen for the manufacture of our accessories. Like Biothane, this material stands out for its strength and resistance, offering lasting protection against water, dirt and UV rays. Slightly more flexible, PVC is also easy to clean, making it ideal for active, adventurous pets. In addition to its durability, PVC is often more economical than other materials, while allowing a wide variety of colors and finishes. As a result, our PVC creations combine practicality and style, ensuring comfort and safety for your four-legged companions in all their explorations.
Our stainless steel buckles
We’ve chosen two colors for our buckles: gold and silver, in brass and stainless steel. These materials are renowned for their resistance to corrosion, ensuring exceptional durability. Gold brass lends a touch of luxury and elegance to our accessories, while silver stainless steel offers unrivalled strength and a refined appearance.
